So the whole thing started with an appointment with someone named Johnny... then continues with another trip to see someone named Barb... They each did something to my hair making it reasonable for Z to say she has slept with brunet, blonde and a redhead all in the space of two weeks.

Destination Toronto... a mini vacation from Z and I is made more than just memorable by the events and people that populated the adventure. Friday morning we boarded a train in Ottawa on and rode in relative comfort and first class style (such as it is on what is essentially a commuter train - just 'cause they hand you a little lemon scented cloth wrapped up like a sausage and toss some grub at ya...) But seriously? I really liked taking the train!! Very relaxing…

Now, in point of fact, the destination was a whistle stop just before Toronto called Guildwood. Here is where a friend would meet us with her mini-van... a 20 year girl with her own mini-van... Her name is Meaghan, but I'll call her Dallandra, as in dallandra. Lil'Dallandra popped out of the terminal house at Guildwood after we arrived.

"oh of course, you arrive as soon as I nick inside to buy something!!". We'd never met Dallandra before but she's been a journal (net) friend for some time and we were more that firm on the whole 'love garbage' thing. She was, in a word, adorable. She was dressed in black pants, shirt and shoes and turned the whole world to summer with a big beautiful smile...

With tour-guide-Barbie like precision, she narrated some of our trip from the station to the Harbor Castle Hotel. We were staying about three blocks from the concert... 34 floors up and a view of Buffalo... sweet indeed. We chilled for the afternoon and went out for dinner with Dallandra.

We met at the Filet of Sole restaurant - in the heart of downtown Ed-Mervish-ville (a "must go" restaurant if you dig sea food and even if it's not on the menu, ask if they have the pecan spice - hot - crust rainbow trout... oh my god!). There we met Dal and her main squeeze... Dax.
Last weekend was Meaghan's birthday so we made this a birthday dinner...

We walked back to our hotel. Dave Mathews was busy turning the Air Canada Center into an enormous human flesh magnet and this was between us and our destination. It was an interesting time from the start of dinner to the point at which we entered the concert... kind of a Emily Woods speed-reading version of "getting to know you". Clothes fit into this story nicely so lets go there... Z was pretty much dressed at dinner for the show... except for foot wear. Dinner had the Captain James T. Kirk boots that were traded in for the big honk'en, brand new runners. She had on black, low riding stretchy cords (her butterfly tat on the back of her hip shows nicely in these, btw) and a kind of shimmery pinky tank top I was wearing cargos and a new p-z top with my fila runners. Dax was in 14 inches of blonde hair pulled to a pony tail, red shirt and black jeans... I loved his shirt... It was stenciled with two check boxes.. "call me", "bite me" and captioned "you decide".

Dallandra was the show stopper for the evening. She got to our hotel room and nicked into the washroom to quite literally slip into her "gloom kitten" black poly-vinal-chloride? (pvc) dress. Her nylons gave it a swish swish sound around the bum and it tended to want to slide up but we were all game to keep pulling it down for her... I helped her lace up the neck! and we all helped her slip on and zip up the pvc gauntlet's. She looked great!

Dallandra, (she explains... ) is normally a more conservative girl (destined, btw, for Estonia on a university exchange) It was really quite something.

And shamelessly;

On my way to Garbage...

I'll post more about the show in the Garbage community but suffice it to say we had a fantastic time!!! We got very close to the stage and I'm praying that the little disposable camera's I snuck in got some decent shots... (I doubt it but it'll be nice icing on the cake of this experience if they do!!)

We all went back to our hotel room and took race queen photo's of Z and Dall...

After saying goodnight to our friends, Z and I stayed up too late... and slept till 2:00pm!!! oh god it was heaven...
Um... Seems like their always filming a movie around Adelaide...

After cruising through town while Toronto watched a hockey game, we met up with lakme.... Her name is suzanne and it became an immediate thing that everytime I said "Suzanne" I got both of 'em... It was Suzanne squared!

We shopped... went to "Lush" and bought bath stuff... and er... the condom shop and didn't buy bath stuff... We had a great dinner ... we had a little Indian... :D

Then we wandered through the freezing feaking cold looking for an open coffee shop and ended up in the hard rock cafe...

It was such a comfortable click to meet with Suzanne... lakme is beautiful... We had a great night talking and getting to all know one another... But in the end we had to go to the bus station and say good bye at 11:15 or she'd turn into a pumpkin... So Z and I killed more time goofing around and ended up on a train home today...

It was, hands down, the most fantastic of experiences... to meet such great friends, see garbage... relax and eat away from the stresses of home... Z and I had a really great time together, and I am very thankful to have such great friends that made us both feel so comfortable.

I'd be happy to go on and on about it but I'd sink into all kinds of mushy stuff... so I'll stop there. :D
