Well it's cake time at casa de corto...



Geo really did help but demurred from all pictures... leaving His Royal Edness to take the spotlight...

Here's Edward mixing the "wet mixture"...

And operating the blender....

They look soooo scrumptious when they come out of the oven...

So, we sliced each cake in two and put vanilla icing on the bottom layer...

Then strawberry jam (just a thin layer) between the 2nd and 3rd layers...

Then iced the little puddle of yummy with Belgian choco icing...
(note: everything here is home made... you know that right?)

I stopped short of the fourth layer and opted to cut that one in half and make a "half cake" for freezing.... :D

ps... and what will I do with this? I will bring it to my SIL's house when we drop off the kids for her to baby sit while we go to the hockey game... and I will give it to her to have with their dinner... There'll be half a cake to bring home afterwards...

Bottom line: You want to babysit my kids... I takes wicked good care of babysitters... :D
