k... things... (lol)

Every night we (Geo and I) - following the directions of his grade one teacher - add to our "Daddy read me a bedtime story" routine and little George reading me a bedtime story... we have these little "readers" that he can sound out words and practice his "sight" words... Usually their good... sometimes the stories are twisted (see my previous rant about the "Pied Piper of Hamlin" story... sheesh...

Well tonight was lovely... we're reading about spiders... and every now and then I have to try to explain about why letter combinations sound the way they do... So just when we get past EIGHT "a g and a h like that is silent"... and run smack into TOUGH ... talk about bad luck...
