Today is
teaser's birthday… This woman has been a most valuable treasure in my life since the very day I met her… and it's been quite a while. She's kind, loving, smart, funny and really very much a product of the amazing country that she calls home. She lives here. This is some kind'a serious "far away" live'en woman. She is a wife and she's a mom. These things auto-magically qualify her for a shimmer-cape and a spandex super suit… (I have this whole "Comet-Girl" motif in mind.)
Reading about her main squeeze and about Jason (her son) has been thought provoking and entertaining. Trying to understand her life as a prof at the University has been equally interesting…
In the time that I have had with her as my friend we have exchanged packages that contained treasures for the whole family… The children still ask to sit and play with the beautiful stones she sent… Just this Christmas we received this beautiful hand crafted ornament of a star… and I will hang it with fond memories every Christmas for the rest of my life.
Yea, I know this is all mush and sucky... but some things are really worth being all mushy and sucky about!!
I hope that this next year… this big-ass, goofy deal year you're turning fourty!! (and I will join you momentarily) is filled with self discovery and all the peace you can handle. You have earned this time and richly deserve it.
You will always be in my heart and your friendship will always be a treasure.
