Well, we fooled around for a bit after I drove my sister home last night but kiddious interuptus kinda put an end to that. I did my best to crash with an alarm set for 3:30... but somehow I messed up the alarm. Z woke me at 4:30 - she had a tummy ache and just happened to wake up... I checked on the meteors and to my great surprise it was wonderfully clear.
I came back in the house to ask her if she was game to watch... her tummy ache was gone... so we decided to let the meteors wait a bit... :D and just freak'en gloriously earned the bed head till maybe 5:20. We dressed up big and warm and lay on the backyard deck (our backyard faces onto a golf course so it was plenty dark - not "out of the city" dark... but way-enough) and watched for maybe 20 minutes.... We were counting outloud and some of them were spectacular. At 100 we decided we were cold enough and went back to bed! It wasn't the "rainstorm of shooting stars" that Idream of one day seeing but it was quite something. :D
