Out went the invitations and today was the big day... What a great place to have a little kids b-day bash. It's basically this huge gym... and a bunch of party rooms. The staff are all teenagers with a flair for playing with kids... they have a routine all worked out on how to totally use up every ounce of energy these kids have in one hour. Then an hour doing pizza, cake, presents, and loot bags during the parent pick up afterwards... While the kids are in the gym the parents can just kick back and relax... in fact all the kids parents left save one other mom... So we three did the party when they were done in they gym...
The Kids were seriously jazzed about doing this...
Note: There was this totally adorable little girl at another party taking place at the same time... she had on a (no kidding) furry black shirt and looked remarkably like a little drew barrymore.
First order of business was the warm up session...
Then came the giant pit of foam squares!!!
They were playing this game where all the kids tried to hide in the pit while one other looked for them... This was as the searcher-kid found Edward...
Trampoline city was next... there were four big trampolines and the "facilitator" takes the kids throught his whole routine... Kids love trampolines... no question.
Then? Why the wall of course... actually this was part of an obstacle course that included climbing up a ladder and jumping of a platform onto big squishy mats, jumping over things and doing handstands... then the wall...
... and then the rope!! They loved swinging on that rope...
When all was said and done... we went to the party room... Pizza Pizza had been timely and we had drinks and pizza for 10... with a little for starving parental units :D. This one kid has spilled a big glass of coke within 2 minutes of sitting down... um... exact same kid that spilled the big glass of coke at last years party. LOL... any ways... we had a cake and some singing... and then prezzies... and finally the children were all picked
On a special note: This blue girl I know... (the incomparable
