~ there is a great deal of art spread around the city... Lots.
Most folks move through the gaze of this art without looking up...
Without having the chance... or taking the time... to encounter it.
This ... is precisely what the saying "stop and smell the roses" is all about.
So... sometimes you have battle the whole concept of "cliche".
I know I'm my own worst cliche... but I'm ok with that.
Never-the-less, perhaps more change would be good. :)
Today was all about rain... and working downtown.
I'm a bit conflicted, because these are some very nice clients,
But I have to go downtown to do the work with them.
They're rules are clear... A tie everyday and all work is done at their office.
And... when you're at their office... no personal calls, no "other work", etc.
I mean, I have un-escorted access, so I can get up and go to make a call, etc.
So lots of rules...
But the people are wonderful... and the environment is great.
Great chair, great desktop, free krupps service, AND unfettered access to social networking.
They simply expect employees (and consultants) to use social-network bandwidth at lunch or on a break.
And their employees tow the line.
My client-boss is a runner... runs at lunch.
He saw me today and stopped to talk - on his run - when I was coming back across the street from the gym.
This is good.
An article in the Kanata Kourier (regional newspaper) confirmed
the city's "go for it" decision for a new Recreation Center in Kanata North.
I live in Kanata North... closer to the next village over (town of Carp)
But still on the Kanata North roll call. :D
This is very good news.
Jessy told me about, like eight moths ago...
but I had no way to confirm it to friends and rellies...
Until now. :)
Oh, and it includes a new skatepark!! :D
ps. Big day for

According to mirriam webster...
Definition of CLICHÉ
1: a trite phrase or expression; also : the idea expressed by it
2: a hackneyed theme, characterization, or situation
3: something (as a menu item) that has become overly familiar or commonplace
K... time to go. :)
Have a great night.
