carorulesYeah, so having Monday and Tuesday vanish into a blurr of sorta-work-sorta-not, wild weather, kids & school issues... just totally messes me up for the rest of the week.
I keep having to double and triple check what day it is...
It's been a really nice day... bitterly cold... but brilliant sunshine.
Day 7... one week down.

~ kind of a gray apparel day thing... charcoal trousers, black tee, dark shirt, dark sweater, black ftls, dark sox... I need a bright red hat or something... :)

~ drive the boys to school ... just to give them a break in the "get up and hurry" zone...
~ work work work... busy day in the land of corto-clients... sigh.
~ gotta go to the ski shop after work and pick up our skis and have someone double check what I did with Geo's bindings on his snowboard...
~ stop at the fish store... sole for dinner...
~ survivor tonight... and I think Mentalist is on tonight... I've decided I really like that show... even though what's-her-name has such an aggravating mouth. (shape of mouth).

Oh my freaking god...
If I hear another Bus driver, in his or her glorious radio sound-bite moment, saying how much they wish they were driving their routes instead of walking a picket line... I might just have to explode in a blaze of searing aggrivation. If you're so against striking... they why oh why did you all give your Union the mandate to go on strike?
A radio talking head actually said "The workers have to go along with what their Union wants..." today... I was agog. When did people lose sight of the reason for Unions in the first place... They are supposed to be doing WHAT THE WORKERS WANT... not the other way around.
No... the OC Transpo drivers are on strike on December 11 because they CHOSE TO BE and they are screwing students out of their exams, workers out of wages, and generally being a giant pain in the ass. I've had a bee in my ear over bus drivers ever since the last strike (12 years ago) and it's only getting worse this time around. The whole world is suffering loss and challenge in this recession... but you bastards are demanding MORE MORE MORE MORE...
I say fire the lot of them and bust the union and then face the consequences. I bet the citizens would come out in droves to support the city council that actually had the testicles to do that.

Remember that thing I applied for last month? It was this big deal "certification" thing...
Yeah... well I checked today and it's going to be like... two more months before they get back to me about pass/fail.
Bummer.

I lament the loss of perfume.
It is the new social bad boy...
And for good reason, don't get me wrong.
