New Garlic!!!! :D
So many things... :)
The boys and I had pizza & a movie (Nims Island) on friday night... (Suz was out with coworker-girls-night-thing).
When suz got home... we all settled in to watch Be Kind, Rewind... and I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable that was...
Saturday... lots of getting kids ready for camp. You should see the crazy giant hockey bag we're sending with each kid.
They leave for camp ... tomorrow morning...
I'm holding back all kinds of emotions on this one. And I'm talking real effort here.
I'm worried, excited, fearful and all kinds of just "I'm going to miss them sooooo much". :(
The weather has played havoc with my holidays... and my theoretical desire to skateboard.
I say "theoretical" because I can't remember the last time I went to the park????
I shall cross my fingers and hope for good weather.
I'm even thinking I might take a day to drive out to the "Big Giant Park" in brockville...
planning
~ garlic fest! (We go to this garlic fest every year to get new braids... this year I got russian red in a braid and a little bag of this other stuff... very hot stuff.. :D)
~ FUTURE SHOP... kids power night. See below. :)
~ trying not to stress about kids and camp...
~ Big Brother. :)
wishing
~ that I didn't get these weird headaches that start in my neck... kink up and advance over the side of my noodle. It's like a sinus - stress - alien abduction pain in the head. :(
~ and that my friends enjoy some aspect of the Olympics. I think the most interesting bit about any olympics... is how very young children (like Edward...) totally dig watching this stuff.
Birthday moments...
From yesterday...
Happy birthday Mare... (
And happy birthday to
and to
And for today!!
Happy birthday little bratt girl... (
and to my dear friend... and very distant

I for one was wildly impressed with the Olympics Opening Ceremony firework display... It was awesome... 29,000 fireworks...
That being said... I'm guessing the land of "Oh no, it's so polluted" might have thought better than to lay down a 29,000 firework haze on opening night.
Ah well... this is China. Didn't they invent fireworks?
Oh, and what is the point of Mens Beach Volleyball?
Clearly they could have used all that time and effort to play - and broadcast - more Womens Beach Volleyball.

So tonight we're going to Future Shop for 5:50. They close at 6:00.
Inside... Geo and Ed and eight other kids will be fed pizza at 6:10...
and then Sony will be doing a presentation on new games and stuff.
Then the kids are given these new (unreleased) games to play.
Sony's goal... is - of course - feedback.
So they do a survey when it's done... and get Future Shop gift cards when it's over. :D
The kids are wwwway excited for this.
We got the invites through suzannes work...
I'm sure it's a sales effort... but seeing as I'm the one with the credit card and I wont even be there... :D No worries.
Suz and I will be eating in a restaurant next door.
And yes... there are parent chaperones. :)

At the Garlic Festival...
This is Linda.
Linda is ... the girl with the most cake.
[ :: The Girl With The Most Cake :: ]
~ very impressive.
He "thing" is small ... (and I mean tiny) cakes that are over-the-top-decorated and about 12$ each.
Certainly, she does all kids of occasion cakes... but these little beauties ... we adorable.
~ k... time to go. :)
