Ok, so here's the thing...

I'm noticing a new "Feature" within some applications that results in files only being visible on my hard disk when viewed from the file manager within that specific application.

The only simple example I can make would be the "Div x Converter". You load it up with mpegs or avi's or whatever and click "convert" and away it goes... If you right click it, you can pull up a properties box and edit the default "destination directory" for the converted files, but the default is "my documents/my videos/divxmovies.

So after they've "converte" and the div x file manager opens ... I can navigate to that directory and see all the converted files.

However, if I navigate to that directory with windows explorer... nothing. Nothing there...
Folder properties DO specifiy to "show hidden files" etc... I've check everything normal... but...
nadda.

So the files are there... but they're not there...
and it's a bitch when I want to mess with the files without actually running the divx converter.

Anybody know 'bout this?
