That's one!!!
hahaha... ok I'm admonishing myself. :)

Blink... blink blink... 8:## ... what? squint... squint... blink blink... 8:24... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Driving away from the house at 8:47... showered, shaved, dressed... with a lunch in one hand and wiping a carnation instant breakfast off my mouth with the other.

Sigh...

It rained in the night... but ... it never rained yesterday. Weather idiots strike again. How do those people sleep at night?

wearing
~ blue ftls
~ gray dress pants... which, to me, sounds stupid. The term "dress" as an adjective describing formal attire is OUT. Not bad as a verb and clearly useful as a noun - especially when coupled with things like rubber or "bright red" but... adjective? not so much. Lets try "nice"... gray nice pants? no... that blows. god strike me dead if I have to use the word "slacks"... I will likely vanish and re-materialize in 1972 if I ever do that... Ok, so dress and nice are out... oh oh oh ... how about "trousers". Can I say trousers?
~ white golf shirt.
planning
~ early meeting... that I had to totally boooooooogie to get to on time. sigh
~ slogging away. Must get a presentation ready for Monday...
~ Geo soccer tonight... and watch BB7 after... :)
wishing
~ to point out that I am going ... ever so slowly... completely mental, trying to keep all the balls in the air. Just say'en...
~ that chicago figures out that having big box stores actually inside the city limits is ... you know... a good thing.
~ for sexsatan04's big ears don't have to hear ... too much.
~ for small, medium and large-format miracles to land on indianasweetie... just 'cuz.
~ that tassy has a soft landing...
~ and ... wishing to point out that ca_blondi is flipping gorgeous... just say'en.

So... the american armed forces have, along with the "coalition forces" in Iraq, have secured the country and run elections. Sadly... the insurgents continue to confound the process of turning Iraq into a brown version of North Dakota. Clearly, the lose association between the various members of the insurgency is making it very difficult to stop or stem the tide of the chaos they are bringing to happy land Iraq. Vast ground forces, occupying the major cities and patrolling the country are not, it seems, enough to subdue Iraq. So... what must be needed to "get the job done" ... is some kind of elite Special Services group. A superior authority organization that can specifically target the underground forces of evil. A Special Services group... some kind of elite team... but what cool acronym could they use to designate their Special Services status... ??? hmmm... Perhaps The Penguin the Vice President could come up with something...

I heard some remarkable information from "letter writers" to the CBC radio station that played that segment on Helmets at skateparks, etc. last week. Interesting spin on the issue of how head injuries abound in all sports and from the medical communities perspective... "helmets on all wheel sports" is hardly dealing with the problem. Still... I think the real issue is very much a social darwinism thing, and that there is no "right answer" to the problem. It is a fools solution to suspect that you can just make a law and expect it to resolve the issue. It (a law) would make a bunch of otherwise law abiding people instant criminals, and the "problem" would just move from one area to another. You cannot legislate common sense. You have to teach it in carefully planned steps and educate over time. Unfortunately the skateboarding issue is manifest in a group of people who will all have moved on to the next thing by the time new solutions are found.
