Huge ass stupid rainy wet ick city kinda day.
And clearly my grade school grammar teacher... was just not on-her-game.
Getting out of bed was so seriously the last thing I wanted to do today.
Gah! Window open, cool air, suz and geo in the bed... (Edward... dead to the world, had to be dressed while sleeping, carried downstairs and sat at the table in front of a cut grapefruit before he woke up) were generating a goodly amount of stay-in-bed-warmth.
We finally kicked in at 7:30 (kids bus comes at 8:00) and everybody made it out... which included me driving suzy to work - cuz I'm taking her car in to have the tires swapped (winter / summer).
Actually... I'm typing this, sitting in the waiting area of our mechs pob. Don't get me wrong - as per my "War on Mech" post yesterday... I have a mechanic and I totally trust this guy. (but I am darned pleased about saving all that cash yesterday).

Listening to so-called news reports from Canadian broadcasters "on the ground" in Afghanistan... Kandahar, to be precise... is really starting to blur into the "approved speak" vibe of a controlled media. Every time another Canadian gets blown up (this time it was four guys) on patrol in Kandahar, we hear a steady stream of "everyone here is resolved to make it worth while" and "the feeling is that this event marks the last time...." blah blah blah... Several thousand Canadian men and women are deployed in combat status to a war zone where an insurgent force maintains a constant aggressive posture. Translation: we are going to loose a lot of soldiers... killed in Kandahar because the United States president thinks it's a good idea to invade foreign countries and occupy them so we can help them vote.

A wall around Jerusalem...
A wall between the US and Mexico... ...
how quickly the powers that be forget the power that was.

Desperate House Hoes was billed as a new episode. An episode made entirely by the guys in the editing room from the first two seasons... is not new. However, while we're on this subject, let me once again point out that Teri Hatchling just gags the crap out of me. It's not that she's unattractive - she is... it's that they promote her and she promotes herself as this beautiful actress and dress her up in gowns and dude... it's like covering a ugly, old, chipped canoe paddle with satin. Now... Marcia Cross, whole other deal.
:) Ok... time to get... hoping my cars ready.
