Ok... last day on this contract. My fingers are crossed that I can put together a good 'nuf presentation to be pulled back with another, long, contract. You're welcome to cross your fingers too. :D :D
It's going up to 20 today... and while I was pulling out a light sweater to wear over a T ... I was thinking about how many people (women) have their panties in a bunch over the accelerated pace the "get trim for summer" plans have to take with this Instant Spring thing. :) (I like wearing sweaters... and that's just about over. :D)

Ok... so this is real. I have no idea how this can be argued... but I suppose there is a counter to everything... and I'd love to hear it, but until I do hear it... the bottom line is that the medical community, the government, and the international community is just pleased as punch that we're all dying of cancer and believe me... from the looks of things, the cure could have been out there ages ago and we'd simply never know.
How can I say this horrible thing?
What kind of crack is corto smoking?
Look at the simple facts...
1) National cancer societies are organized to help you "live with" your cancer. They do NOT spend more than a token amount of the millions donated to them annually on the notions of "prevention".
2) The average person has little or no concept what-so-ever of just how big a big drug company really is. If you own mutual funds... you likely are an investor in Phizer, Lilly, or Glaxo... These companies control vast proportions of the global wealth. Billion and billions of dollars are spent each year on prescriptions in the US alone... and these companies are global in scope. They manufacture around the world - and they resource their mfg process from all over the world. They rape third world countries of resources to make drugs and then refuse to sell them back to those countries at a cost they could possibly afford.
3) Think about it... a single injection in a cancer treatment costs over a thousand dollars... and believe me, you need many. Sure cancer "can be beaten" but only if the drug companies all agree to go broke. And that's gonna happen... NOT. There is no profit for Glaxo in preventing cancer. Period. Do not be fooled... These are publically traded companies and their responsibility is to provide return on the investements made in them... and that means increased sales. No discussion.
Frigg'en scary, if you ask me.
Radio talked about a Canadian man that is fighting Japan to get his ex wife to return his kids. A Canadian court awarded him sole custody with shared access... She took shared access as her opportunity... sold all her possessions and flew with the kids to Japan. (She's japanesse) This is called Kidnapping and she deserves to be punished. Japan is the only G-7 that is not a signatory to the Haige Convention that covers this shit. So dude if fighting the wind. She's not being punished... in fact, the Jap Government re-awarded her full custody. ??? Nice. The Japanesse ambassador comes on the radio and I was litterally laughing at his bull shit.
My point: I cannot imagine how much money this guy has spent on fighting this issue and trying to get Japan to give it up... but it's gotta be more than the cost of hiring someone to go and snatch his kids back... let alone... punish her a little. Cunt.
There is something depressing about taking down the pictures of your family and packing up an office. I did that yesterday so I wouldn't have to do it today. Just say'en.
This is the longest "single client" engagement I've had in seven years. These people are my friends. I hope I come back.
~ ok... I better get busy... :)
