Blue sky and cool wind
Fires, tents and flashlight fun
and sand, always sand.
Pictures... are this-a-way. :D
We're home...safe and sound. :)
Three days... two nights... easy beans.
Make it three nights... and, personally, it's starts to
wear a bit thin. :D
But two nights... is fun.
It's almost like... "phew... ok, two nights and nobody's
injured... quick, lets go!!"
:D
The campsite was v-v-very close to the beach, so it
included the extra fun of "off the water wind".
And considering the children's favorite campsite
feature was the vast amount of fine sand...
well, everything we camp with is sandy.
We stopped in Perth... small town adorable...
and got chicken at KFC (excellent camping food!).
Waiting forever for the chicken to be ready...
we watch as the sky darkens.
Chicken in hand... walking to car and I look across
the lot to see the frothing, bubbling, line of a heavy
downpour racing towards us...
"In the car... in the car!!!!" like we're in some cheesy
kevin bacon monster movie...
Any ways... We arrive at Silver Lake and our camp site...
It turns from that...
... the this, and then it's swimming time.
I slept like a king... but not as long as his lordship,
Edward the big sleeper.
There was so much dirty dusty sand around our camp
site that we just had to factor in swims and showers and let them get dirty.
Sun set water time for the boys is a good mojo for tiring them out. :D
They dug this hole... great fun that... but better still when Ed puts
a lantern in it... kinda spooky. :D
Can you believe all the stuff we bring.
And suz is the queen of lists and being organized
so this is the "pared down by virtue of past experience" amount
of stuff. It's almost down to the essentials here!
sigh.
