It's a crazy beautiful day... no seriously... A chill in the wind outside... but a hot sun washing the sky blue. And yes, I'm in cube land... but I just made a short sojourn outside to breath for a moment. :)
I sit here... on "Lj" for my lunch hour... I lay out a cloth napkin that I snagged from a road house a while ago... actual cutlery (no plastic here), a coffee and big water bottle... Eat my lunch and read a couple of re-loads of the friends page and then ... write my thing... All the while... tunes blasting away in the headphones. It's kinda nice yo.
Lunch today was "fry your brain hot" general tso's chicken and noodles from this chinese place near by... (I splurged and actually bought a lunch!!)
You would laugh if you could see our house in the mornings... If it wouldn't assure my instant death... I'd snap photos of everyone to show you what I mean... hahaha... but I wake up with the first beep of the alarm clock... get up, push the snooze thing and climb in for 10 more mins. The news kicks in after 5 mins... so I listen to that then get up for a shower. Waking anyone else up before the shower... is tricky. I can do it some days... but others? Like today... shower, shave and I'm ironing a shirt in the hallway before my best efforts have anyone else stirring. Geo is usually next... then Z and dead last is always Edward. I dress him like a rag doll... arms a-flopping and legs flexing... heck, I have to carry his sleepy self downstairs and drop him on the sofa before he wakes up.
~ black ftls
~ green dockers
~ three tone green dress shirt... (has blue)
~ new blue tie... :)
~ presentation day with my client boss... (it went well... it went great actually...)
~ still pounding away on my phase one report (there are three phases to this gig)
~ soccer practice tonight... and maybe a little sopranos... I gotta check Blockbuster...
~ so tickle kendokamel till she makes little squeaky noises... (or beats the crap out of me... but then ... I can run away pretty fast...)
~ to let my friend shoo ... aka shooshoo... know that friends don't let friends itch... and they'll always lend some scratching fingers. :D
~ to send a few good vibes out to njtech... I tend to always have a few good thoughts held for you.
~ that the shoe thing... is just the tip of the "smart boy, good catch" iceberg floating around dinkydo... :D
/// Creative Video moment in my imagination... and I don't think I have the stock video sources to actually do it... so I'll just explain...
George Bush... dressed in his camo's... walking the sands with his entourage, through some base in Iraq... and he's saying "Uh huh, this my shit"
Walks a little more... then looks at the camera and repeats "Uh huh, this my shit"
and then strikes a pose screaming "I ain't no hollaback girl... I ain't no hollaback girl".
Now that would be funny.
// Not to be needlessly controversial or anything... (snarf)... but seriously...
I listen to the arguments on both sides about when does a "life" begin.
This is the pro life/choice debate but it's coming from the stem cell research
side of the house. If life begins at the moment of conception, when the
religious faction tells us that god imbibes the now fertile egg with a soul,
and therefore... abortion after any number of days is tantamount to murder...
what about the 3 in 7 chances that a fetus will be rejected by the body?
You can't say "the woman had no role in that"... because she could be
losing that potential baby because of some lifestyle choices she's made
in her past or perhaps she needed to be immediately put in the hospital...
and maybe even surgery could have ensure that the egg made it down
to "implant". I mean... if you worry about the notion of "your possibly
aborting another Einstein or Mozart" or whatever... then why is ok for
all those miscarriages to go down because a person unknowingly
contributed to the outcome versus someone making a conscious choice?
If I look down at my spilled coffee while I'm driving and go off the road
and run over some pedestrian... well, I didn't do it on purpose but ...
I still killed them. Is ignorance of the impact of your actions an excuse
for murder in the minds of right-thinking-christians?
So I guess what I'm saying is... if the right to life people are to be properly
mollified by the social order... we're gonna have to start charging women
who have miscarriages with murder and force them to prove their innocence.
/ Do you ever get the notion that the Scientology crap is big scam? I know...
but besides the obvious. There is no question that acolytes to the cause
are taught a whole bunch of theory and everybody is really serious about it.
We have been shown secrets from the inner-scrotum of the "Church" as you
can find on web sites like Clam Bake. (google that). They talk about how you
are given the "real deal" information at the highest levels within the church...
and this is supposed to be that crap about alien dude Zenu and the
freakshow "clams" thing.
But what if at an even higher level of the church... the worthy just
sit around laughing their assess off at the giant freaky tax shelter they have
created. "oh wait... wait... what about saying... 'ten million criminal souls
spread across the planet after shooting out of a canon... no wait... out
of a volcano!!! yeah, that's the ticket... a volcano."
I can just see Travolting and the Baby-Snatcher (Cruise) kicking back
in some comfy chairs killing themselves laughing...
K... see ya.
