So we wanted to get groceries... but the grocery stores were all closed...
So we drove downtown instead. There was rain... wind... and ... lots of smiling. :)
The lawn at City Hall was a sea of huge painted fake tulips... my mother was one of the artists that contributed a tulip.
She had ... one day to paint it when they returned from their cruise...
So I'm all impressed and think it's beautiful... especially my dads little wood carved bumblebee... but when I had someone take out picture... I forgot to follow up with a picture of just the tulip... dip!!!
At one of the many "your face goes here" stations...
The City Hall lawn was all about the Art.
There was a gallery inside a tent...
Two of my moms paintings were hanging there...
(this is one of them... the other picture was no good)
We toured up to Majors Hill Park...
Passing by the National Art Gallery, and their new GIANT SPIDER!!!
And the National Peacekeepers Monument...
Then up at the park there were the big inflated bouncy castle things...
and a clown station where the kids dressed up and juggled and played...
It was rather priceless!!
We hit Colonade for pizza downtown and then home.
Not bad for a trip for groceries.
