sorry... cross posted to computerhelp...

Can anyone tell me what this means?

access violation at address 0040c718 in module 'ALCWZRD.EXE'. Read of address 00000000.

~ I've uninstalled the offending app... rebooted... reinstalled.
~ uninstalled again... downloaded new source from the vendor (Asus's high def realtek sound drivers for their embedded sound on the motherboard) and installed again.

But whenever I launch the app... access violation....

(the kicker is that I just put together an exact duplicate of this system... and the error does not occure there... !!)
