the magic in a young girls eyes...
do you believe in the power of positive thinking?
... talk to a cancer survivor...
did you know they're the same thing...
A commercial came on the television last night... we rarely watch shows that we haven't taped, but we were last night so we actually watched commercials.
The commerical was a string of people from obviously different walks of life saying "I was one!"
They were dramically beautiful characters... full of things that made them feel real.
As it got under way, my attention was grabbed and I commented that I hoped this was for something good...
and the last visual was of a wee tiny bit of a girl ... maybe 6, saying "I am one!"
and it was a promotional spot for The Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) saying how many lives it touches...
It was beautiful.
Then the VIM commercial... with the mom in what looks to be an Orange jump suit, seperated from her maybe 8 year old daughter by a pane of glass.
The daughter is saying "Mom... when will you get out?" and the mom saying "soon baby... soon."
And then they pan back so we can see her spritzing the tub with cleanser and scrubbing away.
Gah that is a total cut up ...
Ok... enough random thoughts.
There is rain pouring down in a sunny blue sky so obviously Mother Nature has found her stash and is somewhere cracking it up. Whatever... just let me turn off the A/C and get back to fresh air when I sleep.
Today was wonderful... for loads of good reasons... but none more clearly etched in my head than the moments of clarity that visited my mind as I considered the ways in which positive thinking has enhanced my life. Oh, and I believe in Fate but I feel very much that it is a tenious thing... forever flexing and twisting into new positions as life slips past like so many mile markers on a dusty highway.
I also realized that I really dig the name Mallory. Just a random comment thing and I thought... "I haven't heard that name since
Alrighti ... time to boogy home.
Loads to do, and basically no time to get 'em done.
oh and soccer ... Geo has soccer... and I really need to get to the library to sign out some books on tape for the journey.
Later. :D
