A Pizza in the Park night.

There is this weird twist in the fabric of circumstance
that tied together friends when I was growing up...
My parents best friends in the universe when I was
growing up had several children ...
The one that was my age and I were crib friends and onward.
For all the countless days we spent together and wonderful
memories of our friendship... it was still a "family friends" thing...
This is her... Heather, and one of her daughters, Kendra,
who is not, no matter what it looks like... drinking a beer.;

(and I dunno what's wrong with geo in the background but
he looks a bit like he's not like'en something... :D)

Any ways... we moved a few times as I went through school
and ended up at school with friends who were, unbeknownst*
to me, friends with those family friends...
Eventually, at the end of high school, we all ended up
together at a social something and the circle was closed.

Here's Heather and Patty from tonight...
Patty was a friend from high school...
and a long time friend of Heathers....

So it was an interesting gaggle of these people and all
our collected parents and babies tonight at the park.
Alas, (earwax) this picture does no justice for the
number of kids that were there...
they were - as expected - madly off in all directions.

There were a half dozen large pizzas, salads, desserts
and all the fixens.  :D

The boys were happy as wee clams...
playing in a well decked out play ground...
Suz took 'em down to the beach

... and, of course, came back carrying shoes and pants... :D

It was... quite simply... a gorgeous night,
cool but full of sun, friends and a good sorta vibe.

Geo... in a moment of clarity... clarity about not pulling
a goofy face when I said "hey... hold still for a sec...
I wanna picture... " LOL.

Edward can entertain himself almost endlessly with
almost anything... and rather often... "anything" is a stick.
"Look... A stick!!"

Doesn't his silhouette look like Casper? :D

It was a nice night...
Tiring out the kids with play and fresh air...
And a nice wake up for threads of memory that were
due for a quick reindexing. :D

* no really, I get to say "unbeknownst" in a sentence...
go me!

and the night draws to a close...

Bedtime wishes...

~ congratulations to my friend, roaring_woman. Lucinda had her baby on the 21st.
Little Zachary starting live at 7 lbs and 2 tiny little ozs.

~ Congratulations Kristy...
I got a card (as did a few of you) from kristylicious... aka kristylicious... aka one of the sweetest women I've ever come to know...
It has a picture of her, her little man Zack and her soon to be hubby, Ron, on the front and a message of great happiness on the other.  I absolutely could care less how mushy it is to say, but my heart melts to see something as grand as what's up with kristy.

Next up?
computer free saturday.
The boys and I will be painting primer on the wall in the basement... cleaning... and laze'en about (hard core sarcasm there).
Saturdays are so busy in our house it's goofy.
Must think of a movie to rent for tomorrow night. :D

Have a great saturday.
See ya sunday.
