Monday, January 26....

Hi... :)

A brevity of steps, as a way of life, takes you to far more places than a gluttony of aimless motion.
~ once you have that down, the goal becomes ensuring you put a little quality into those steps.

I listened to my little Alma last night... and iced sore ankle... raised sore ankle and wrapped sore ankle... it's marginally better today. :D

~ green ftls
~ dk blue dockers... still haven't replaced these... really must...
~ gray t
~ nice warm turtleneck... which, btw, I only just noticed today is a "docker" product... so... it's poster boy time...
~ FIREFLY TONIGHT... weeee.... :) :D
~ still slogg'en away at R.E.P.s (reusable engagement packages)
~ working on the "S-8 Pre-Show" bit... lol...
~ you could imagine how seriously this song was infecting my brain yesterday... hadn't heard it in ages (specifically, the remix). (get to work... download immediately!!!)
~ to send some vibes across the wires... to give a squeeze to a woman at Warner Brothers... she made me cry last night... :D every tear a joy to feel.
~ that there was any way to not really sound like a blubbering goob... but alas... just wishing move vibes down to North Carolina... more happy tears... :D
~ that dinkydo is properly equipped next time she ventures out in a row boat...
~ for thursday to hurry up and be fruitful for my sugar-bronze... er... bramey (gaping maw... LOL!)
~ for the sweet relief of recovery to find it's way into the House-of-Deb. (nordicgrrl...
~ and a wee wish for a little bitty sugar named Savannah... daisychayn's little savy... get better soon sugar.
~ er... a little bit of emotional hand holding for a distant connection... but never-the-less a connection that I treasure. I hope things spin Up weswilson.

So loads and loads of friends are trying to dig out... freaking snow. It's cold (like 24 below and with the stupid ass wind chill factor* it feels like 34 below).... it's damn cold... bare pavement only looks clear... Just talk to the dozen car owners standing forlorn beside their shattered vehicles that I saw as I drove to work.... poor slogs. But at least we don't have mounds of snow falling... however, I suppose we'll get ours as the week progresses. Good luck yo and don't hurt yer backs... it's not worth it... Remember... it will all melt in a few months. :)

On the rocks
At the shore of my life

Gray stone
Splashes of gory colour

Surf rolling over
Dragging bits of me away

Broken hands
Reaching for the mask

A screaming visage
Layers below empathy

Mind shouts
Resonant oceans of wind

No real comfort
In an uneven world

~ dance me outside....

I don't know where that line came from... but it bubbles up in me often. I don't what it's supposed to mean... but for me... it's all about personal, emotional strength... dancing in the face of all that gets in your way.

I left a small tupperware box of fresh, crisp, red grapes in the car... I look forward to them all day long. They will be almost frozen (and please spare me the frozen grape references... :D) and each one will taste like a bit of heaven on the long... wicked cold... drive home.

For my own reasons I suppose... but I think I would put it in words this way;

While considering my place in the world, a long lost friend snuck in and smooched me.
When gracious friends gave me kindness... they made it possible for me to pay it forward.
Where there are tears, there need not be sadness, and even if I'm about as smushy as a sponge, happy tears for
~ friends that are preggers...
~ friends that are getting married...
~ friends that have healthy tiny miniature twins...
~ friends that busy having their baby (right now, btw)...
...are all the sorts of tears that remind me of my humanity.
Dancing myself outside is soooo working.

K... I need to get go'en.
Time to drive. :)
Later skaters...
