ni ni.

There's this show on Life...
one of their "real life story" shows.
People going in for cosmetic surg...
Arm flab reduction... tummy tucks...
tummy staples, yada yada yada.

Ok... so this slavic couple is on
with the deal being his aversion to
the rolls he has around his middle.
Yup... he's lost a bunch of weight
and now he's got rolls...

So they go through the procedure
in glorious... gory detail.
I refuse to watch... it's just too
too... tooooooooo much. I'm all for
people making choices... I just don't
have any remote desire to watch the
operation... mk?

Fine... However that's all beside the point.
The thing of it is, that the couple...
on the interview stage of the process
is shown in their home discussing the procedure
and voice overing with all their positive affirmations
about their choice.

And all the while I'm staring at his wife
with this freaking growth on her nose.

WTF? "honey, lets break the bank so I can lose
these rolls... but ...er ... you keep that third
nipple on yer nose."

gah!

West Wing rocked... very satisfying dramatic television.
(and nobody got liposuctioned!).

now it's bed time...
and there is no frigging chance I'll be at work tomorrow.
sick .
ick .
sick !
needs to get bedda fast!

morning...

I'm staying in bed... hoping to get better and not liking the way my throat feels... :(

on the plus side... it's a sunny, beautiful day here... of course, it's warm in my bed too...

A woman in Toronto, kidnapped by her erroniously released from jail ex, is rescued in Ottawa last night... and I am glad. "She was last seen being dragged by the hair from her appartment and tossed into a stolen van..." really seemed to make it sound like it was not going to end well. I hope the nut bar freak packet of an ex gets locked up for a good long time.

The news will tell you that the world is a dangerous place. The news would be right. However, for many people, the world is about 10 square miles around their house. If we just tried to make our part of the world a safer place... well, it'd be a step in the right direction. It's safe in my house.. in my yard... and the people on my street talk together about our street being a safe place... I promise.

//mini rant
Gah... some times I just cannot muster the empathy for people in countries that have been in conflict for centuries... Enough already. A woman from "The Sudan" was being interviewed yesterday and she was saying that people there are "ready for peace" so they can have some infrastructure again... open schools again... build medical facilities again... Ok... maybe she's right... but the government of the Sudan just as totally fucked today as it was last month, and not a whole hell of a lot is going to happen to change that. Ireland, Isreal, the-entire-farquing-middle-east... You're all brain dead... you support religious leaders that want you and your kids to take the hit for their centuries old rhetoric and bigotry. Intolerance reigns supreme... and I am seriously doubting that we can fix their problems.
//all done

My street is a safe place to visit...

ok... off to bed.

(no subject)

it's all a matter of seeing through the fog
a thick blah brought on by serious cold meds
and, btw, "serious cold meds" = the only reason I'm not on my ass in bed.

spend the day in bed... cept for a few hours on a sofa trying to focus on several documentaries on the LOTR TT dvds...

Now it's time for Survivor... well, if the kids would just pass out already.

See, if I was just a little rabbit fru fru...
I could go bonk 'em on the head.
It'd work... but they'd prol'y be pissed. :D

btw... I'm pretty well in heaven over these phone posts... it's wonderful to hear!!
