Ok, day three is suck'en! Soon to bed to put it behind me and wake up to a day four. this blows. I'm in a craving stage ok!

You know, when I pony'd up to be a paid account, I was basically paying to say 'thanks, this is fun, you deserve something ... here!" I gotta say, this place is rocken lately. The email messages are auto contenting the name of journal now, the little new clicks on the comments page, the memory threads, the multiple pics... and the speed and performance of the system.. Well done guys (Is it just Brad, or is there an actual group?).

Read the News section to get the latest bits on the bytes. .. .. (hehe)

hey...

So day 4 is dawning all bright and cold. I was going mental last night, but I feel pretty good today... although I'm about to wake Z and make her stay up with kiddies while I go back to sleep. yesterday was my day to get up with kids and I thought I'd give her a break this morning as well.

Boy I was feeling really weird last night. I found my way to talashandy's journal, wanted to comment and suddenly felt extreamly awkward... something I rarely if ever feel... had to be the non-nicotine in me talking.

So, I gotta get more shoes!

And I'm having trouble visualizing me not getting a buzz on in the evenings. So far so good, but I'm having a little trouble with this... DIG?

Ok, had (that was "had") the makings of a serious SRH today, but that's no longer the case now is it!

Laundry is in, I'm about to go vaccuum crazy and no I did not get to go back to sleep ... Zebra has a sore throat and I'm letten her sleep (like this is some big niceness on my part hahahaha... nothing was getting her out of bed.)

I have lots of little project like things to keep me busy - and hopefully get me through the cravings.

Watch the Toronto Santa Clause Parade! ... watch for lizvang holding up a LiveJournal.Com sign! (anybody remember all the banners that flew over the Big Bro house advertising dot.coms? hahaha) I hope she gets air time with that sign.

Big things on my little mind...

Something pathetic: I really really want a smoke - I'm at the end of day 4? or 5? - and this "stage" feels all depressed like... sort of a "waaaaaa I want a smoke" thing.

Something cool: I think my new optical intelimouse is the coolest thing. Zebra and I both have one and when we leave the office the lights are out, the monitors fade to power saving mode and there's the groovy red beams of light slicing out behind out mice... plus they work great too!

Something deep: How fun is this place? I'm getting more worthwhile friendships here than I have in RW for ages.... sure, I have some awesome friends in RW but I'm a year down the road after leaving that Gov Job for private sector work and this was a huge move... 14 years worth of relationships etc. gone! and, and, ... well, I don't know where I'm going with this - I'm kinda extroverted (my coworkers would be killing themselves at that... ) and make friends at work etc., but the important part is "worthwhile friends"... friends here seem ... awww fuck it... I love you guys, you make me feel great and that's all there is to it!

Something geeky: My little P90 in the basement running linux for a firewall on my cable internet feed is running a full sendmail client, apache web server, is an official nameserver for the net and holy crap would the @home people have a freak if they ever bothered to notice.

Later lj

For my friend, sunshine_two: An X-Files Review.

Well now that Agent Dogging-It is an official x-file dude, we get a classic episode… one of those non-big-picture-plot episodes that goes for the gusto to gross you green. It worked. I'm green.

This time it's a bat-man - and clearly not a caped crusader.

Don't you just love how predictable this show is? "Hmmm I hate this character… I'll betcha he gets killed." So we meet detective-gonna-get-killed (GGK) at the anytown-usa crime scene. Crime? Human remains horribly mauled… someone's going down for performing various "indignities on a human corpse". So GGK guy diss'es Scully and talks to the dog man. We hate him already.

Note: camera man finds three chances to hold still on scully's stretched button on her shirt in the now very standard effort to convince the viewer that scully has a figure.

Scully and Dog-boy are hunting great big being that leaves single foot prints every twenty feet (flys or big jumper), has four toes, eats body parts then regurgitates them (we were eating home baked choc chunk cookies fresh from oven as this is revealed… yummmm!) and leaves anti-coagulating solutions in the wounds of its victims… and this is, of course "something that is only done by Bats!".

GGK guy is a big dopey scully-diss'en local politics hack that deserves his fate… which of course is being shredded by villainous anti-coagulating yucking bald thing. This goes down quite nicely, thank you very much.

Overall plot treatment: 40 years ago, dude is involved in capturing (but loosing again) human-bat killer thing. Dude hides with his bride 'cause everybody else in on the 'capturing' part is getting killed. His bride, now an old lady, dies and is sent out of hiding to be buried. Everybody that comes in contact with her body dies - why? Cause they're all passing on the smell of hiding dude and bat-yuck-bald-thing is still out for revenge… Scully and Dog-boy track down hiding dude and end up emptying clips into bat-yuck-bald-thing but it gets away. Now they are the hunted (haunted) ones…. The end.
