Hey.
I'm actually - yuck - working at home tonight on something... I kinda hate working overtime (no overtime pay, just overtime work) but it'll make it easier to face tomorrow.
..
That, by the way, is totally irrelevant for now, cause I just had a major LJ experience (Thanks Ames). If you've got a little romantic spark that needs some good feeden, I urge (sp?) you to go here and read this guys major journal entries... then click into Firefly's journal and read her major entry on the subject of their impending marriage. This is a really fab love story.

That, also, is almost (but not quite) irrelevant...

What is relevant here is that an experience like that - reading that story and feeling the way it made me feel - is one of the reasons for breathing on a regular basis. The trick is to keep breathing... so that you'll have chances to feel strong and beautiful emotions, like the ones I felt reading that story.

"It's an LJ thing." I mean, where else? (something like a phenomenon,...)

See! there I go again... I gotta try to hold back a bit or I'm gonna LJ myself a legacy of mushy versions of me...

ug! I am not well (no jokes). a few times a year I get this thing... some sort of an irritation in my throat... well actually on my (awful word but - ) uvula - that's the little dude that dangles in the back of your throat (and no, that is not your tonsil).
Anyways, irritation equals all-swollen-up. Everybody say Yuck.

(here comes a geek moment.)
I got to work early(ish) today and am still banging away on the super-urgent stuff. You can go to a web site out there called www.clickonjob.com The site TODAY is the way it is, but not the way it will be in a couple of weeks. Our company bought that company and has developed (and is deploying) a new e-com web service. So, I went to montreal a while ago to deploy all the hardware into a hosting facility and I am seriously under the gun to firm up the process by which the new environment will be proactively monitored, remotely managed, employ 'self healing', built into a help desk, supported by a level 1,2,3 organization and all be established complying to International Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) definitions...
I have like, until maybe 10:30 ... so why am talking to LJ... c ya...

I just put my headphones on and put up a sign on above my head in my office.... it says:

If I don't work for you,
and you don't work for me,
go away.

wowowow.

today was like a ride on a rollercoaster... got two big (well big for me, maybe not big for KPMG or EDS) proposals out the door, built a new cluster for a e.com dot.com and submitted the weekly OMNI report on all the projects running at Revenue Canada (now called something completely different... well, no they are not called "Something Completely Different" - they're called Canadian Customs Review Agency - which is all part of paving the way to outsource all kinds of shit to companies like ours... yippi)

Still managed to gargle regularly to get my 'uvula' all back to sorta normal (so very little is normal about me!) and write a story about magic poopies for BourbonStreet and make the boss laugh.

All in all a very good day that started crummmmmmmy. C ya later LJ.

hi ho. evening time... quiet time... nice time! two little dudes sleep'en away in the room they share. Ed, in a crib still - his choice (he'll be 3 in January) and George on the bottom bunk of - duh - bunk beds. Ed has slept on the top bunk before. In fact he's mastered the little ladder deal to get up and down (still drives me nuts to watch him come down the ladder tho).

Z is packaging fun and excitement... she's producing the Kiddy birthday "loot bags from hell" (meaning only that they are just packed with great stuff and a hefty dose of things related to the pending birthday theme... "digimon" ( I am a confessed Digimon expert - having watched the first two seasons faithfully with George). Z loves (did I say that strongly enuf? let me try again... Z **L**O**V**E**S**) doing stuff like this... She get's all very-organized about it and in the end these will bare-none be the best loot bags in the history of our kids experience with 5 year old birthday parties.

The party will start with me taking 8 five year old boys to the AMC to watch the (you guessed it) Digimon Movie. The it's pile in the Van and to a big soccer field to play just enuf three legged races (etc.) to burn off the Theater Eagers - energy stored up by sitting still too long. Then it's home to pizza and cake. Then it's "dad made all these tunnels out of boxes - lets go nuts" time to work off a bit of cake steam... then presents, then parental pick-ups with loot bag distribution. Then two very tired parents will pass out on the floor in front of both children with the TV on over our inert bodies... chances r, the kids won't notice a thing.

Ok, wee favour time. If your reading this, then just take like 4 seconds to cross your fingers and say to yourself "I hope Ames bumps her arm in her sleep, I hope Ames bumps her arm in her sleep."

This clearly does not make any sense but you gotta just go on good faith that there is positive energy wrapped up in this somewhere.

Thanks.
