Monday, Freaking MARCH 1ST! wow. Next Stop... Spring!

Billy Crystal as Gollum had me and the boys howling ... just say'en... er, I watched the intro, including the cheese ball song (but I still liked it) then turned it off... turned the Oscars back on to watch Spielberg present "best picture" and see Crystal say "thanks and g'night". Excellent timing. Clearly I missed the dresses and that not a good thing... but personally, I think watching the entire Academy Awards show just for the dresses is a wee bit of a high price to pay for eye candy. Hopefully there will be a decent perv oriented on-line review of the dresses...

There's an old story, almost an anecdote, about revolutions and coups d'état in small south american countries... It goes like this;
The horribly repressive regime is finally overthrown by the forceful hand of the peoples voice as the rebels come down from the hills and overrun the palace.
There is a terrible loss of life and the countries riches are depleted by the fleeing dictator or squandered by the Rebel Leaders.
Then, two years later...

Yeah... so Haiti...

Imagine...
The police force in Port-o-prince was (and I'm quoting the CBC Radio here) "trained by a Canadian Police Force Special Unit sent to Haiti to help establish and maintain the peace."
That is called "spin".
If they were trained by a "special unit" sent by some country the current politico's didn't like... guaranteed the quote would read:
"A guerilla training camp was established in Haiti, and supported by an international terrorist training squad."
You digging this?

Ok... busy day ahead.
See you later muchachos y muchachas.
The King is dead... long live the king.
