Tonight was, after kid stuff was all done, mostly about getting some edits done for a client and then taking in tonights tape of West Wing.
So... make new coffee,
~ break out a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup pack (gotta have a snack)
~ rewind the tape...
~ push play and then fast forward through an hour of American Idol geezusmuthaphuqu'enhchristonastick!
~ grab phone... (it's 11:30) and phone my dad... phew... he taped two minuteso of American Idol then switched chanels over to ABC or whatever, where they were actually airing WW.
~ hop in car...
~ drive to folks house (5 minute deal)
~ on their street... there, in all her glory, is a mamma deer, just standing on this persons lawn.
~ I stop the car, window down and our eyes are locked... I hold her (or did she hold me?) for about 5 full minutes. I give up and look away and she darts away between the houses.
~ Go pick up tape and on the way out...
~ see beautiful baby deer (not so much a baby anymore) ... this time I stop the engine and get out of the car... I want to hear it.
~ it's just beautiful... huge... I mean, it's standing beside a pretty little shrubbery and in front of the bay window of a house... it's very out of place and just looks really big. :D
~ it bounds away when I move towards it making a heavy series of clops across fresh snow... it's breath steaming in the glow of a distant street light.
~ I felt the weight of nature around the edges of my world and enjoyed the sensation emmensly.
Home again and watched the Wing.
So, Phone Booth, the movie, opens in two days... I think I'll watch the other half then go to bed. :D
